Irene’s career of 10+ years spans Network & Security Design, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering, and Product Development & Management. She entered the industry at Layer3 Limited, where she helped build and design several network services (Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, Wireless Networks, Network Security Solutions, Mobility Solutions, etc.) using solutions from, among other, Palo Alto, Check Point, Pulse Secure, Juniper, F5, BlueCoat, Aruba and Airwatch by VMWare. Following this, she moved on to Westcon, an IT solutions distribution company, where she focused on building and designing security solutions around technologies. Irene is also experienced in developing solutions based on new and existing products and technologies that would be beneficial to current and prospective customers. Currently, Irene’s current role is as a Solutions Engineer (Africa) at Acronis, a Cyber Protection company, where she helps to offer holistic protection over organizations’ data and infrastructure. Irene is married with 2 beautiful sons.
